Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026. This policy explains what information CozyHaus collects, how we use it and the choices you have.

Who we are. CozyHaus is a locally owned café at 2245 Albert Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Questions about this policy can be sent to cozyhausregina@gmail.com or (639) 554-4805.

Information we collect

When you contact us. If you email, call or message us, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number and your question or order request. We use this only to answer you and to fulfil your request.

When you order online. Cake and gift card orders are placed through Square. Square processes your payment and order details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order information needed to prepare and hand over your order. We never see or store your full card number.

When you browse this website. This website does not use advertising trackers and does not ask you to create an account. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

How we use and share information

We use your information to reply to you, prepare orders, improve our service and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as Square for payments and Google for email, or when the law requires it.

Google user data and our email assistant

CozyHaus uses a private internal tool, "Business OS Gmail", to help the owner manage the business's own Gmail inboxes. It is used only by the owner of CozyHaus and its related family-run businesses, on accounts the owner controls. It is not offered to the public.

With the account owner's permission, the tool uses the Gmail API to read messages (gmail.readonly) and to create draft replies (gmail.compose). It never sends email on its own. Every draft is reviewed and sent by a person from Gmail.

Email content is used only to help us understand and reply to customer messages. An AI assistant (Anthropic Claude) may process message content to suggest a draft reply. Google user data is not sold, is not used for advertising, is not used to train generalized AI models, and is not shared with anyone except as needed to provide this feature or required by law.

Access tokens are stored only on the owner's own computer and are never published. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google account's third-party access settings.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, such as tax records. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it.

Your choices

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing cozyhausregina@gmail.com. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
